Karen Smart

Karen Smart is a proud Trawawoolay woman with strong links to Flinders Island, Cape Barren Island and the East Coast of Tasmania.

Currently, Karen lives on the North West Coast of Tasmania with her family and has been doing art since she was young.

Whilst mostly focusing on drawing, as Karen got older she has developed a love for pastels and paint as her favourite medium.

Canvas painting is Karen’s avenue for relaxation with the want to see what she creates on materials for people to wear as a dream in the future.
