Uncle Dougie Mansell

Uncle Dougie is a proud Tasmanian Aboriginal Elder, musician and artist living in the south of the state with his wife Susan.

Uncle Dougie Mansell was born and raised on Cape Barren Island and his music is inspired by the old sounds, rythym and memories the islands hold for him during his time growing up and later birding.

Uncle Dougie Mansell spent a lot of time singing and playing guitar with his late grandson Codie Mansell and has struggled since his unexpected passing.

Uncle Dougie’s talents and knowledges is a lot broader than singing and playing instruments; he also has an interest in woodwork.
