Welcome to our online store…
Blackspace Creative is a grassroots, community owned and operated arts and cultural hub selling authentic and sustainably sourced Aboriginal art and cultural works from Creatives living and working in Tasmania.
View our full collection or browse by artist by selecting the name of the artist from the menu below. Due to the nature of our Creatives work and the resources they use, most items can not be reproduced. If you like something, buy it to avoid disappointment!
If you cant find what you’re looking for on our website or you want something in particular, contact us to commission one of our creatives.

Whilst we appreciate that a lot of people are excited when they place an order through Blackspace Creative, orders may not be fulfilled and posted for up to three business days or more after being received. Blackspace is a collective of artists but the day to day operation, packing and postage is undertaken by one person.
If you have recently ordered and the above timeframe has been exceeded without receiving a fulfilment email with tracking information, please contact us.

Our artists make every attempt to ensure each work is made to the highest standard. They take pride in their work just like we do. Each item is posted in original condition and care is taken to package them appropriately. From time to time an item may break in transit, where this occurs, please contact us to arrange a return or refund.
Occasionally, an item such as a bracelet or necklace may come undone either at the point it was joined or from wear and tear on the thread which comes from the abrasive edges of some shells. Our artists are more than happy to restring any works that come undone. Please contact us to arrange a repair and where possible ensure you collect as much of the necklace or bracelet.
Where an order is lost, please contact Australia Post. Blackspace Creative transfers responsibility through the services provided by Australia Post at the time of lodgement. Should you not be provided with a resolution, please contact us to see what support we can offer.

As an Aboriginal owned and operated business, caring for country is an integral aspect of our business model. As such, we take measures to minimalise plastics and use of non-biodegradable products. All of our packaging including our mailing boxes, packaging fill and tape are made from recycled paper and can be recycled again. Our packaging tape use a natural adhesive and does not have a plastic coating. Our packaging is not fancy and inside you won’t find a heap of junk, we let the art speak for itself and minimise the waste that ends up back out on country.
